Danger Scaffold Above Flag Tag (50pk)

BFT 002 297 x 210mm

Scaffold access changes constantly, and this tag keeps that status visible to anyone approaching the structure. The wording sits large and central so it can be read from ground level without confusion, and the layout leaves no ambiguity about whether work is underway above. Sturdy enough for regular repositioning as jobs progress.

Who is this for

The Danger Scaffold Above In Use Flag Tag is used by licenced scaffolders, scaffold supervisors, and principal contractors to mark the ground-level exclusion zone below active scaffolding where falling objects, tools, or materials present a risk to workers and pedestrians below. Under WHS legislation and the relevant Codes of Practice, exclusion zones must be established below scaffolding during erection, use, and dismantling to protect workers from the risk of falling objects, and clearly marked barriers with identifying information are required to maintain those zones. The flag tag is strung on rope or barrier tape around the exclusion zone perimeter and records permit and contact details at the barrier, allowing any worker approaching the zone to identify who is responsible for the scaffold and obtain authorisation before entering.

Frequently asked questions

How do I attach a Flag Tag?

Flag Tags are designed to attach directly to rope, bunting or wire using the metal eyelet, so they can be tied, clipped or looped on wherever the warning needs to sit. This makes them quick to move if a hazard zone changes or the barrier line needs to be repositioned.

What are Flag Tags used for?

Flag Tags are attached to barrier rope, bunting or wire to communicate a specific warning or message at the point where it matters most, such as a safety barrier, scaffold, excavation or restricted zone. Each tag carries bold hazard wording along with fields for job specific details, so anyone approaching the area gets both the warning and the relevant contact information in one place.

Can I write on Flag Tags on site?

Yes, Flag Tags include space for details such as the hazard, permit or work order number, contact person, contact number and date erected, which can be filled in by hand once the tag is in place. This keeps the warning current and gives anyone on site a direct point of contact if they have questions about the hazard.

Can Flag Tags be custom printed?

Yes, Flag Tags can be custom printed with your own wording, hazard type or company branding if the standard range does not cover your specific requirement. Get in touch with the details of what you need and we can talk through the options.

What size are Flag Tags and what are they made from?

Flag Tags are A4 landscape and made from synthetic tearproof polypropylene, so they hold up to being handled, knocked and exposed to the weather without tearing like a paper tag would. Each tag has a metal 8mm eyelet for quick, secure attachment.
